What are the dates for the trip
June 22nd through June 30th of 2018
What is the cost of the trip?
$1200 per individual OR $1000 in family groups of 2 or more.
What are the steps/dates for the Payment Plan?
1) A minimum payment of $200 is due by January 31st. If you are able, please put down as much as you can by January 31st as well. 2) On March 11th, half of your total cost is due. 3) The remaining balance is due on June 1st.
Are there any safety concerns with where we are going?
Being proactive and cautious is always our first step. However, the trip that we are going on is one that we have taken for seven years. We have yet to have a safety issue arise. Throughout the day, we will be in safe villages in large groups. At night, we will be in the Baptist Seminary’s Complex which is extremely safe and highly regarded by the community.
Are any medical shots required for this trip?
No, however we do recommend having an up-to-date tetanus shot and examining what the CDC recommends.
What is the first thing I need to do once I sign up?
Other than keeping your payments coming in, GET YOUR PASSPORT! We cannot stress this enough!
What will our daily ministry activities involve?
We will participate in three main areas. 1) Building houses 2) Food distribution 3) Kids camps and activities.
What will my child be able to contribute?
On initial thought, it may be hard to see how a child could play a role in building a house, but much of the building is done in a seamless process. This process makes it easy for any one of any age to jump right in. Outside of building the house, there is a ton of ministry, loving on kids, and creative activities your student could even help lead.
Are there any age restrictions for this trip?
This family mission trip is open to Kids, Middle School, and High school students and their respective families. 8th grade or younger must be accompanied by a family member 21 yrs or older. We are recommending the age of 3rd grade and up!
